Video Poker is a beloved game that can be played in casinos all over the globe, or alternatively at your house on your home computer, using an Internet connection. The rules are very simple and involve the player trying to achieve the best assemblage of cards as you can in order to win cash. In this respect it is much the same as a regular game of poker, apart from the involvement with other players. Of course, methods used in a physical game of poker, like tricking, will be irrelevant in Video Poker.
The game of Video Poker begins when the gambler inserts credits (either tokens, credit slips or money) into the machine and presses the deal button. A five card hand will then be "dealt" on the screen.
The Electronic Poker machine also has hold buttons, and bettors should now choose which cards to hold and which to throw away. For the cards the gambler would like to keep, the ‘hold’ buttons should be pressed so that they illuminate. The player can choose to keep any number of cards they want, whether it is all or none.
After the gambler has selected which cards she would like to retain, they should press ‘deal’, which will mean that any new cards will be needed they will be dealt. The game is now completed, with the Electronic Poker machine analyzing the hand to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands listed in the payment schedule.
Generally, the lowest succeeding hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the award money getting larger for each better hand. A list of common winning hands starts with jacks or better, and moves on to two pairs, 3 of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and finally royal flushes. It should be known that the payment schedule can range from machine to machine, so that knowledgeable enthusiasts are able to select the most money-making game each and every instance.
Once the first round has finished, the player can either choose to continue on and try to to increase their winnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any credits that might been won. Additionally, a few styles of the game give the gambler an opportunity to double their profits, in which instance a further game is played. There are also differences between specific games, with some virtual decks having wild cards and other differing aspects to enhance playability.
