Electronic Poker is a popular game that is able to be played in casinos throughout the world, or alternatively at home on your home computer, using an Internet account. The rules are very straightforward and involve the player trying to get the highest mixture of cards possible in order to acquire money. On this account it is very similar as a regular game of poker, minus the line of contact with other players. Of course, tactics used in a physical game of poker, such as bluffing, will be irrelevant here.
The game of Electronic Poker starts when the bettor puts credits (whether it’s tokens, tickets or cash) into the video poker machine and presses the draw button. A hand of 5 cards will be "handed out" on the screen.
The Video Poker machine also has hold buttons, and bettors will need to now choose which cards to keep and which to throw away. For the cards the bettor would like to retain, the ‘hold’ buttons must be pressed so that they illuminate. The player can choose to keep any number of cards they want, from all to none.
After the bettor has selected which cards she wishes to keep, they should press ‘draw’, which will mean that any new cards will be handed out if desired. The round is now finished, with the Electronic Poker machine analyzing the hand to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands printed on the payment schedule.
Generally, the minimum winning hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money increasing for each better hand. A common list of winning hands begins with jacks or better, moving on to two pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and finally royal flushes. It should be known that the payment schedule can range from game to game, so that knowledgeable enthusiasts are agile enough to choose the most money-making ones each and every time.
After the first round has completed, the player can either decide to stay on and try to to increase their winnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any cash that they may have won. Additionally, some versions of the game give the enthusiast an opportunity to increase their winnings, in which case another hand is played. There are also variations between individual games, with some virtual decks including wild cards and other differing characteristics to increase playability.
